“Nice clean RV park, but tight spots”
Nightly Rate: $0 USD
All sites are back ins and some are a very tight fit. They can accommodate a coach but no place to park a trailer if towing with one. Clubhouse is nice and clean, but locked up at night. Access to the...

Tip for Other Campers:
Nothing close to rv park, you will need to drive. No public transportation ie, city bus. There is much to do around the city and within the 4corners area.
Nice well kept park right in Farmington with minor Hwy noise. Close to many services and stores and central to several National Parks and Monuments. Roads are excellent concrete and easy to navigate....

Tip for Other Campers:
About 40 min to the ruins at Aztec, 1.2 hrs to Four Corners, 2 hrs to Mesa Verde NP, 2.1 hrs to Canyon de Chelly NP and 1.2 hrs to Chaco Canyon Cultural NHS (The road going to this is extremely rough. DO NOT TAKE YOUR RV HERE!!!). 3 Rivers is a great little brewery right in town with excellent beer and good food.
Tips from campers about Sundowner Mobile Home & RV Park
- Rick & Janine The main campground and inlet campground are on two opposite sides of the lake. If staying at inlet, don't turn in by the gas station (takes you to main campground) but turn on to Johnson Lake Road across the street from the Chapel and follow it all the way around to turn off 18A. The Inlet campground sites are basic but waterfront with more of a "fishing" vibe to them. The main campground is definitely more wooded and grassy green, more of a "woodsy" vibe. I'd recommend a stop at the Canyon Lakes Brewing Company - we enjoyed the wings and a couple flights. Crab ragoon was just okay. Avoid the Nautical Rose restaurant - they somehow managed to get everything wrong and nothing tasted good.2 years ago Johnson Lake SRA
- rvYoungster16 Gas station offering diesel fuel located a block from campground entrance. Walmart off I-80 by turnoff to campground. Larry Roper Trail is a lovely, wide, flat, cement paved, accessible trail through woods by main campground to swimming beach. Other7 months ago Johnson Lake SRA
- ANGELA_894 Medo's is a good place for drinks and food. It's just down the road from the campground. Friendly staff and good food.9 months ago Johnson Lake SRA

I would NOT consider Sundowner an RV park. It's a Moble Home/Trailer Park. The owners are nice, but that's where the positive comments end. The sites are poor, no cable, no showers, and no...

This is a small RV park in the heart of Farmington but since it is on a side street it is quiet. Most units are mobile homes & most of the RVs seemed to be long term. We had a back-in site and had to...

Many things to do in the area including Aztec ruins, Bisti Badlands, a tour of the natural arches in Aztec.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Easy check-in and the manager was very friendly and took the time to tell us about everything to see in the area in addition to Chaco Canyon. The park is clean,...
