“Great place to just camp. Water is coming back and we were lucky enough to catch several trout ”
Nightly Rate: $50 USD
Campground area was clean and quiet. Beautiful views. Hiking and fishing are definitely a plus. A lot of rafters come thru there We camped at Cooper's El Vado Ranch in a Travel Trailer.

Tip for Other Campers:
Fish above the dam all the way up towards chama and also brazos. Lack of water is an issue and really very sad. Feel like last generation to enjoy but hopefully not.

Tip for Other Campers:
For cellphone service drive up sate rad 112 a mile and a half and lte service is available. On road side signal is hit and miss so find safe pullover.
Tips from campers about Cooper's El Vado Ranch
- Horsinu Stop and talk to the locals! Careful on the way to the resort once you turn onto Washington Rd. Its ALL down hill, making it nerve racking, but its worth it.2 years ago River Rest Resort
- T Cam You climb to about 5,000 feet then drop back down to 1,000 feet within 5 miles, brakes were starting to get hot and could really smell them burning, same with trans temps on way back up. Should be no problem but make sure your rig is good to go beforehand.2 years ago River Rest Resort
