Tips from campers about Glenville, NC
- Garaniamal You can find plenty of things to do in the area7 months ago Ralph J Andrews Recreation Park
- rsegler Waterfalls: Bridal Veil, Dry (spectacular), Bust Your Butt, and Callusaja Falls near Highland. High Falls is very near the campground with a trail that will keep the Falls vivid in your memory (or at least your legs) for the next few days (600 ft elev change in .7 mile equivalent to up and down stairs of a 50 story building) but it is totally worth it! Theres an observation tower atop Sassafrass Mountain (the highest point in SC). Let your GPS take you on the shortcut along the French Broad River instead of Pickens Hwy for the drive-in. Totally worth it. Use Pickens Hwy (178) for the return trip. Wild Thyme Gourmet Restaurant in Highlands was awesome with the best, lightest ciabatta bread weve ever had. Food prices were reasonable but theyre pretty proud of their wine.1 year ago Ralph J Andrews Recreation Park
- Merrod The roads to get to the campground are winding and narrow but there is beautiful mountain scenery. There are lots of waterfalls nearby that you can visit. There is a restaurant near the park that has very good food.2 years ago Ralph J Andrews Recreation Park
