Tips from campers about Newport, WA

  • TIMOTHY_MOORE_521 We have a 36 foot Bighorn 5th wheel. I would recommend when you are arriving at the KOA turn off of SPID at the frontage road exit. One exit prior to Waldron. This allows you to get over to the right lane and turn onto Waldron. Because of the size of our RV I dont recommend continuing to Laguna Shores and turning right. This turn is very sharp and is not marked well. Go down past the HEB supermarket and turn left take it to Laguna Shores and turn right. Or continue down to Caribbean Street and turn left. Just remember if you go to Caribbean on Walden you will be going through a school zone.
  • LeeInabinet Selena museum, USS Lexington, fishing, kayaking.
  • RichardG59 For free Padre Island beach access, go to Michael J. Ellis Beach and Seawall. Most places you have to pay for access or to park.
