Tips from campers about Tolar, TX
- Teddy V Unless executive orders change, don't carry your fishing gear to Russian River Falls. Gate guy didn't say anything and nothing posted until AT the falls 2.5 miles too late. Better to fish off last parking lot. will see fish being caught but it is fast water and very competitive fishing. The river near Hope, Ak a bit easier and the locals much more friendly and helpful. Caught several pink salmon after being shown how to do it. Recommend Pink and white or pink and chartreuse streamers. (Pinks like pink) Can get them at Sourdough Dru's Gifts in Hope along w sinkers if you need them.
- Ruprechts Reserve your spot for summer weekends. Some need leveling.
- RVL208682 Lots to do in the Seward area. Resurrection Roadhouse was a great restaurant. Northern Latitude has small boat all day glacier and wildlife cruises. Fishing opportunities abound nearby. Although Kenai Lake in the campground had poor results reported by campers
