Close enough to Ruidoso for shopping, restaurants and entertainment. The area has ample hiking and sightseeing locations.

Level site, full hookups, check in at the convenience store. Some stickers, so watch where you walk your dog. WIFI worked fine. We camped at La Vedera RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

HEB down the street, Walmart a few miles away, restaurants all over (we like Scuttlebutt's, Snoopy's and Doc's for seafood and they are near the bridge to the Island). The new KOA is close to the water, but it's considerably more expensive.

This campground seems out of the way when traveling on I-35. However, if you plan your route to the west side of KC on I-435, most of the heavy traffic is avoided, and reconnecting to I-35 is easy.
