Tips from campers about Katy, TX
- DoryJ Choctaw Nation Museum and Talimena Scenic Byway nearby and both are worth a visit. The location is a food desert with closest real grocery store 30 minutes away and Walmart 53 miles. Choctaw Travel Center in Clayton has the closest thing to a grocery store with some fresh meats and produce, enough to get you by and surprisingly reasonable prices. We had lunch at Southern Lark in Clayton and it was good enough. 3 or 4 days max ok here.6 months ago Potato Hills Central
- Sonny Payne 3 Be sure to have a bite of fantastic barbecue at Outlaw Barbecue in Talihina and if you get the chance, visit Loveras Italian Market in Krebs for great cheeses and charcuterie.
