Hiking the gorge trails is fun, Peregrine Falcons Nest on the cliffs and scream all the time. And Ithaca is a hippie haven almost any weekend, so go check it out in the downtown commons area.

Tip for Other Campers:
There are great places to play or hike around the lake. And Several "Observation sites" that aren't easy to find. Also the visitor center is very interesting, but hidden down a dirt road off the main road as you enter the park. They have live snakes and lots of animals and information about the dam and lake

We had the best site, purely by accident. Every other site was either very un-level or very small on the side of the road. If you didn't bring a boat, there isn't much to do right in the campground....

Tip for Other Campers:
Lots to do and see in inside "Land between the Lakes". Make it worth your while and make sure you have a full tank of gas! Though we found cheap gas across the bridge from Fenton, KY.

Bring what you need, it a ways to find a store. They do managed fires, so ticks are low risk, but firewood is scarce.
