Tip for Other Campers:
Red Rock Canyon needs timed entry reservations. You can stay all day once you enter, but it is a one-way driving loop, so plan your stops accordingly. Great visitor center and displays - the BLM always seems to have more $ than the NPS when it comes to Visitor Centers.

Tip for Other Campers:
Sunset Crater Volcano & Wupatki National Monuments are only 15 minutes up Rt. 89, and Walnut Canyon N.M. About 20 minutes in the opposite direction. Observatory in downtown Flag is where Pluto was first discovered in the 1930's.

We asked the host about Pickle Pete's just up the road (which is where he was collecting his lunch), and he said the Mexican in town was better. We didn't get to try either.
